Seven family games that genuinely work from age 10 to 75

Tested on 10-year-old twins, a 16-year-old, their parents and a 75-year-old grandad. These are the ones that actually get played.

My test for a family game is not whether it says ‘family’ on the box. It’s whether the 10-year-old twins, my 16-year-old daughter, the adults and my 75-year-old dad will all actually sit down and play it.

Our reliable seven are The Genius Square, Monopoly Deal, Dobble, Bananagrams, More or Less, Uno and a normal pack of cards for Pontoon/21. More or Less was an Amazon buy for a recent trip and the kids absolutely loved it. Scrabble comes on holiday too when we have the luggage space.

WHY IT BRINGS JOYThey work across a 65-year age span in my actual family — no hypothetical testing panel required.
